Projects

Elle love, love, loves to make and create art projects. She is constantly making messes in order to create her masterpieces; and I am constantly cleaning up the clutter used to create her masterpieces. I try to have her help me clean, but her version of clean and my version of clean are completely and utterly different. So even if I have her clean up her mess, I still have to clean up after her. I do love her creativity, so I try not to complain as I clean up mess after mess; but it is hard, because sometimes I just want my house to stay clean (like that will ever happen with my two little mess makers). So I will just have to resign myself to constant art projects and the mess that goes along with it.

With that being said, I just had to post about Elle’s latest project. Elle had checked a potty training book out at the library (she is potty trained, she just happened to like how sparkly and pink the book was—she already judges books by their covers), and she was inspired by the little girl in the book who had bows and ribbons on her panties. Elle then decided that she needed to have ribbons and bows on her panties. So I got out my needle and thread and began sewing ribbons and pieces of yarn onto her My Little Pony underwear. It was very funny; and every time she wears a pair of these, I find myself smiling. I love my little girl and her creative mind—even if it means lots of messes.
