Pre-Birthday Fun

Elle was able to celebrate her birthday over an extended period of time. For who wants to only celebrate their birthday on one day? Why not spread it out over multiple days with lots of fun events, and lots of presents. That is exactly Elle’s thoughts, so she got to do a lot of pre-birthday fun for her birthday.

The first pre-birthday fun activity was Build-A-Bear with Grandma. Elle begs constantly to go here—incessantly is a better word—so it was the perfect gift to do with her grandmother. Here she made a horse (no surprise there), and had a lot of fun picking out clothes and accessories for her new stuffed animal.

After building her new four-legged friend, Elle got to attend another pre-birthday event at Chuck E. Cheese's. This was a big hit; what with the cotton candy, tokens, endless games and toys to pick out at the end. Elle pretty much played to her hearts content. She could have stayed, ran around and played all day. And Hudson thoroughly enjoyed himself as well. There were so many cars with steering wheels—a true joy to him—that he could pretend to drive all day.

I’m so glad we spread out Elle’s birthday with some pre-birthday fun. It turned out to be a wonderful day, with lots of fun and excitement. Birthdays and pre-birthdays are great.
