Father's Day

Flag Football

Hudson is playing flag football, and loves it. However, it didn’t start out that way. In fact, it started out quite the opposite (much to Johnny’s dismay). Hudson was not a fan of the sport at first. He came home after the clinic and laid on the couch and said, “I’m too young. I’m too young.” And after the first game he was not much better. He just kept saying over and over again that he was done. But by his third game, he is loving it. He runs, laughs, and gives his coach high-fives. He loves to run the ball, and he always says that he scores a touchdown. He is so cute. I love watching him, and I am glad that he is loving playing. And I think he will love it even more when he gets his trophy at the end of the season. I bet he won’t be saying he is too young for that.

Last Day of School

It is hard to believe that it is the end of school already. Although, Elle couldn’t be more excited. I am having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that she will be in third grade next year. She is getting so big and grownup. She is such a sweet girl, and I am so glad she had a wonderful year with great teachers, great friends, and great experiences.

Family Pictures 2014

4 Month Well-Check

Emerson had her second well-check this past week. I was not excited for her to get her second round of shots, but surprisingly, she did well. There was no fever, and she didn’t even cry until the second shot. She was tough; and I was very proud of her.

We also found out that she is doing really well. Although she is on the small side (no shocker there), she is healthy, happy, and reaching all of her milestones.

Her growth percentiles for 4 months are:

Height 24.8” (53%)
Weight 12lb 13.1 oz (15%)
HC 40.6 cm (40%).

We are so happy with our sweet, little girl. She is all smiles and giggles. She loves her brother and sister, and cannot get enough of them. Her eyes follow them all around the room. She lights up our lives, and brings us great happiness. The way she spits when she’s mad, squeals when she is tired or hungry, and smiles when she wakes up. She sleeps well, eats well, and is happy being along for the ride. We love our little Eme; she is such a joy.

First Swim/Dip

Our community pool just opened, and the kids were so excited. Emerson even had her first swim, or dip as it should be called. She only got her feet wet, but she was pretty mesmerized by the water. Hudson was pretty excited for her, as can be seen in the pictures. I think we will have a fun summer swimming/dipping in the pool.
