Boys and Their Toys

Johnny loves having the chance to snowmobile. Oh, the wonders of the snow.

Silly Little Girl

Elle and her crazy sayings—they never cease to make me smile.

"I'm trying to be a good girl, but it's just not working."

"Daddy, are you Prince Eric?"

"My eyes are a little shy; not my tummy, just my eyes."

“My little feelings got a little hurt.”

Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

I love the snow!

Snowboarding

Bridget and I went snowboarding at Soldier Mountain Ski Resort today. We had so much fun. There was plenty of new, fresh snow; and the weather was perfect. It was only lightly snowing, and not at all too cold. It has been four years since I have been snowboarding; but once on the mountain, it did not feel as though it had been that long at all. Snowboarding today made me realize how crazy I have been for going so long without it. I absolutely loved it. It has a thrill and rush that one cannot get from anything else. I am so glad Bridget and I decided to go today. It was awesome. And hopefully we can go again next week.

The princess loves to cook.

Boys (I Am Rolling My Eyes As I Write This)

Do they ever grow up? This is a result of my brother and father trying to see how far they could get on the unplowed road. Not far. Needless to say, they had fun trying.

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

Christmas this year was everything we could have wanted. We had a quick and early Christmas morning at our apartment—Elle only had fifteen minutes with her gifts from Santa Clause—and then it was off to the airport to fly to Idaho. Elle was ecstatic about the fact of getting to have a white Christmas, as was I. And once in Idaho, we had a lot of fun celebrating the holiday season with family. Elle could not get enough of the snow; her favorite part was eating it. She ate, and ate, and ate. Quite cute I must say. All in all, it was a wonderful Christmas with everything we could have wanted, and more.

'Twas the Night Before Christmas

Our Christmas Eve this year was full and fun. It seemed as though we did not have a minute of rest; there were numerous errands to run, people to visit, presents to wrap, and dinner to eat. All of which, were undeniably fun.

Elle has really gotten into the Christmas spirit, and cannot seem to get enough of anything that has to do with Christmas. She loves the music, the decorations, the sweets, and naturally, the presents. It will be extremely enjoyable to see her tomorrow morning for Christmas. I don’t think she has quite grasped what is in store for her when she awakens. However, it will not take her long to understand the amusement, pleasure, and fun that accompanies Christmas.

Chugga Chugga Choo Choo

Today we went to Tilden Park to ride the steam trains. The trains ran through the beautiful scenery of the East Bay. Though it was cold, we had a wonderful time riding the trains, smelling the fresh air, and enjoying the company of friends.

Cookies

My friends Allysa and Amy invited Elle and I over to make Christmas cookies with them. It was extremely fun, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. But who wouldn’t enjoy cookie dough and frosting?
