Our theme for family home evening this week was: seeds. We had a lesson on how our faith in Jesus Christ is like a seed. Just like a seed, our faith starts out small and needs nourishment to grow. We learned that it takes lots of things to build and grow our faith in our Savior—reading scriptures, attending church, praying, following the prophet, listening, obeying our parents, choosing the right, and the list could go on and on. We learned that if we work hard to do these things, our faith will grow strong and true within our hearts. After the lesson, we made seed necklaces out of pumpkin seeds (Elle really liked this). Then, for dessert, we ate sesame seed bars (seeds can be very yummy). All in all, it turned out to be a successful family home evening.
