Our theme for family home evening this week was: rocks. We had a lesson on the importance of building our houses (testimonies) on a rock (the gospel of Jesus Christ) and not sand. If we build our testimonies on the gospel of Jesus Christ, then when we have problems or experiences that test our beliefs, we will be able to stand strong and true. We then painted rocks (both Hudson and Elle loved this). Hudson only ate paint once (shocker), and although there was paint all over his hair and hands, he for the most part did a good job painting. Elle was very focused (she had her serious face on), and she painted good and discernable pictures. I loved them. Lastly, we ate rock candy for dessert (what kid doesn’t want to eat rocks?). And in the end, it really did turn out to be a good family home evening.

I really love all of your FHE ideas, do you come with all of them on your own? You should turn these into a book or kit. I would totally buy one :)
Thanks for your comment Brittany. I do actually come up with all of them on my own. I have fun each week trying to figure out what we will do and learn.
