Lucky Peak State Park

Johnny had a few days this weekend, in between his summer courses, and so we took full advantage of his homework-less days. We first set out on Friday to Lucky Peak State Park. Elle desperately misses the beach—as do I—and so this is as close as we can get in Idaho. It is definitely not the beach, but it is sand and water.

We went to Sandy Point which is located at the base of Lucky Peak Dam; and we enjoyed the sandy beaches and cool water. Elle and Johnny had fun building sandcastles, and getting wet. Hudson mostly enjoyed the shade, and spent some time getting wet. It really was a very enjoyable day. Not quite the beach, but fun nonetheless.
