As many people know—and as Johnny and I know all to well—Hudson is not very good at sleeping. He tends to run off little to no sleep—quite happily I might add; he does not fall asleep in the car—no matter how tired or how long he has been awake; and he does not sleep for extended lengths of time—why? I have no idea. Basically, he can be considered a bad sleeper.
This being said, Johnny and I were surprised to find that his already terrible sleeping habits took a turn for the worse this past week. We were practically pulling our hair out, wondering how our already horrible sleeper could somehow sleep any worse. We tried everything. And just when I was at my whit’s end, and almost attempted the emergency room because he would not quit crying and screaming, I found out why his sleeping recently declined: double ear infection.
Elle had never had an ear infection, and this was Hudson’s first, so I had not the faintest idea that this was the cause of all his recent sleeping trouble. I felt simply terrible for him, when we went to the doctor and found out his ailment. My poor boy was in the worst kind of pain. He was quite miserable.
However, I am happy to report that he is doing really well now. He is practically back to his old self. But that only means that his recently horrible sleeping habits have gone back to being just normal horrible sleeping habits. So sick or non-sick, he doesn’t sleep.
