Hair Cut

Elle has not had many haircuts in her short life. Mainly on account of her hair not growing—it has been the same length forever. The only time I cut her hair is to even it up and to prevent her from acquiring an unattractive mullet. But she desperately wants long hair, and so I always let it grow a little hoping that the sides will grow with the back. However, this never happens. The back grows, and the sides stay the same. And when the back grows and the sides do not, you only get one thing: a mullet.

So we took Elle into the salon where her Aunt Jae Cee works, and removed her mullet. She now has the cutest bob. Plus, this was the first time getting her hair cut in a salon. She felt very special and grownup. And luckily she likes her short hair, because it doesn’t look like she will be getting long hair anytime soon.
