Broncos Win

The start of a new school year also means the start of a new college football season. This is an exciting time in the Bankhead household, because Johnny is a little obsessed with sports (anyone who knows Johnny, knows he is a sports fanatic). Just the other day, as the opening game days for colleges were about to start, Johnny looks at me and says, “I love this time of year.”

And yesterday—labor day—marked the day for BSU’s opening game day. To say Johnny was a little excited would be an understatement. He had everything planned for this day for weeks. Not to mention that our old, not-very-good-for-watching-sports TV burned out a while ago. So that left him with our new, big, HD, very-good-for-watching-sports TV. Let’s just say Johnny was excited.

The game turned out to be everything a loyal BSU college football fan could want—BSU won. There were a lot of yells, high fives and cheering going on in our house. Johnny, the sports fanatic, couldn’t have been more pleased. What more could a guy who loves this time of year because of college football want?
