This Week...

Elle was the superstar for the 6th time. That girl loves to please. She tries everyday to do exactly what her teacher asks. Too bad for me she does not have the same determination for her behavior at home. It’s only because she knows I will love her anyway.

Hudson found a new love for baby Jesus from our nativity set. He walked around holding and kissing baby Jesus all day. And then, to his amazement, he discovered that baby Jesus fit perfectly in his pocket. Needless to say, baby Jesus went with us in the car and to every store after Hudson’s little discovery.

We had a lot of fun with the advent calendar. We made snowflakes out of Q-Tips for a Christmas craft (day 5); we had a Christmas movie night where we watched, A King Is Born (day 6); we made Christmas trees out of eggs for another Christmas craft, and we picked up Elle's glass necklace (day 7); we read an entire Christmas Junie B. Jones book—hilarious (day 8); we went to a friend’s Christmas party (Day 9); we built another car for our train, and we went to an ice show (day 10); and lastly, we made homemade peppermint patties—amazing (day 11).

Hudson managed to stab his face with scissors as he tried to run away with them. Ornery boy. Doesn’t he know to listen to me yet? Obviously not.

Oh, and I forgot to document a few weeks ago that Hudson so kindly managed to pull the eggs from my grocery-laden cart and spill and smash almost every single one—except the one he was trying to shove in his mouth—on all the groceries I was about to put on the conveyer belt and pay for. Not only did I have to go get all new groceries—very time consuming—but I had to scoop out all the smashed eggs from the cart, which was very disgusting. Altogether, it was embarrassing and frustrating. I had stood in that check-out line forever. I was ready to go home. But oh no, I couldn’t have it that easy. Hudson made sure of that. All I could do was look at Elle and laugh. I felt like crying, so I just laughed instead.

It was another fun and exciting week.
