While I was getting ready the other day, Elle watched me put on deodorant, and decided that she wanted to apply some on herself. I, of course, told her she did not need any deodorant because she was a little girl and was therefore lucky enough not to have to wear any. This answer was not sufficient enough for her; and she continued pestering me about putting some on. I kept deflecting all such requests. Finally, after her persistent begging did not work, she asked me what deodorant was for. I told her it was to block odor, and she excitedly said, “I have odor!”
