Nature Monday

Johnny has yet to attend one of our excursions to the Nature Center, and so we thought it was high time he graced us with his presence at one of our nature outings. Monday was the day he chose, and Elle was all too thrilled to show him the ins and outs of the Nature Center.

Elle’s first informative discussion as tour guide, was to tell Johnny of the importance of running from the tigers living at the center. Now, there are no tigers lurking around the Nature Center, but that is what’s great about the Child’s imagination—they can believe anything they want to. So, Johnny learned quickly to run fast and hard from those imaginary tigers.

Elle—the tour guide—then showed her father the sturgeons, the rainbow trout, and salmon. And what Nature Center visit would be complete without a snapshot with the owls? Top that off with a visit to the adjacent park, and our nature outing is complete—especially because Johnny finally graced us with his presence.
