My mother and sister decided to have a yard sell this year, and I thought it would be fun to have Elle sell some baked goodies in order to earn some money of her own. When I asked Elle if she would like to sell some homemade items at the yard sell, she readily complied. I was excited and thought it would be fun to help Elle on her first selling adventure. But little did I know of the work these homemade goodies would entail (it’s been a long time since I had a bake sell). It took me hours to not only bake, but wrap each item. And don’t get me started on the dishes. By the time I was done, I was not all too sure how good of an idea this bake sell actually was. And Elle—the readily complier—only helped me make the first batch of cookies. But she sure did eat a lot of dough, and lick a lot of bowls—great help. But when all was said and done, the bake sell was a success. Elle made somewhere around forty dollars. Johnny and I were both shocked at the money she made; but I think I deserve a cut, considering all the work I did.

But lets be honest--you wouldn't have sold one baked good without Elle as the salesman.
