A Birthday for Unicorn

If you didn’t know—which I’m sure you didn’t—today is Una’s (Elle’s stuffed unicorn) birthday. I only found out about this tidbit of information yesterday, and I had to pull a quick party together today. Lucky for Una, I work well under pressure, and I was able to put together a pretty fabulous unicorn birthday, if I do say so myself.

On Una’s lucky day, we made a trip to Elle’s favorite park (Una loved the swing); Aunt Bridget brought over a birthday present (what does a unicorn want for its birthday?); we had a unicorn birthday cake (Elle thought it looked just like Una); and we attended a magic show (courtesy of the Boise Library).

All in all, it was a very fun birthday—even though the birthday girl was a cotton-stuffed unicorn.

P.S. The magic show was fantastic. Elle was in peals of laughter the entire time. There was magic, humor, and lots of smiles. The only time Elle stopped giggling, was to say: “How’d he do that?”

You're such a good mom. I think most moms would be like, "thats nice..." and tell them to forget about making a cake for their unicorn. :-) I hope Elle realizes how lucky she is!
