Yesterday, we attended the Christmas event, Claus ‘n Paws, at the Boise Zoo. Although it was freezing, we had a wonderful time. I bundled up the kids in their warmest clothes, and drove to the zoo with Bridget and my mom. Hudson was not at all happy about being all bundled up. Unlike Elle, he had no idea what we were doing, and why we had him in such a ridiculous outfit. However, we paid no attention to his concerns, and only added to them by placing him on Santa’s lap, and pushing him around the zoo in the stroller. But Elle knew exactly what we were doing, and thoroughly enjoyed herself at the zoo. She went right up and sat on Santa’s lap, and told him that she wants a train for Christmas (I have no idea why she keeps telling Santa she wants a train, because when I ask her what she wants, she says a baby penguin. Plus, she already has a train. I’m just not sure what she is thinking). Elle’s favorite part of the day was the lion exhibit. The zoo keepers had placed wrapped boxes in the lion’s cage, and the lions were none too happy about it. They attacked the boxes repeatedly, and Elle thought this was quite exciting. We spent most of our time at the zoo watching the lions, because Elle refused to leave them. Claus ‘n Paws turned out to be a very fun event; and I am glad that we took the time to attend it.
