This week...

We celebrated Elle’s ½ birthday. Elle loved this. Waiting an entire year for one’s birthday—as a kid—is hard. So we like to break it up and eat cake on the half-way mark.

We attended a Halloween bash for Elle’s school (but neither costume is their real costumes—the real ones are not finished yet).

Hudson worked with my dad.

Elle and Hudson gave lots of kisses.

I went hunting with my dad—again. Though we did not get a deer, we did kill a rattlesnake. My dad and I were just sitting on the edge of a rim overlooking Rattlesnake Canyon (which now lives up to its name in my book), when my dad looks to his side and sees a small rattlesnake. He immediately hops up and kills the thing with large rocks. I, of course, brought the rattler home to give to Elle. (Thankfully, we did not get bitten.)

Elle participated in her second Primary program. She did a wonderful job. She had her part memorized, and she did not hesitate to walk up to the microphone and recite every word to perfection. But my most favorite memory about the program was that at home, every time she would practice her part, Hudson would cheer and clap for her. So sweet.

It was another busy/fun week.
