Family Home Evening—Light

Our theme for family home evening this week (I know, I know, I am yet again late in posting) was: light. For the lesson we read the scripture found in Mathew 5:16, and then we talked about how Jesus taught us that we should let our lights shine by being an example to others. We talked about different ways we can accomplish being an example and letting our lights shine. Then we made light pictures, and illuminated them with a flashlight (a very big hit with Elle). And lastly, for desert, we had cupcakes with candles in them (both kids loved blowing out the candles, as well as licking the frosting). All in all, our family home evening turned out great.
