Today, Elle and I decided to venture out and discover some new parks that are located close to where we live. I have heard a lot of good things about the Ann Morrison Park, so I decided to give it a try. And luckily, both Elle and I were pleased with what we found.
When we arrived, we found that the park contained a huge water fountain—the biggest we had seen—where children and adults alike can get wet. Elle, of course, could not wait to give it a try. Everything was going well until I turned my back, and she screamed. I turned around to find her lying in the water crying. I hurried and grabbed her, and saw that she had fallen on her elbow and scraped it up a bit. This was quite traumatic, and definitely put a damper on our park day. For the rest of our time at the park, she held her arm tight to her body and refused to use it. And let's face it, only having the use of one arm can make it quite hard to do much on any kind of play structure. Needless to say, we will need to visit this park again under different circumstances.

Aww... those 'owies' do make it hard to remember all the fun you were having. Luckily Quincy's still young enough that we can usually distract him. I'm sure Elle will eventually warm up to the Ann Morrison park again soon.
Well that is one way to remember a park...feel better Elle!
