The past two weeks...

Due to a painful infection I unfortunately acquired, I have not done my usual blogs. Therefore, I will be combining the last two weeks. Here it goes:

We went to our favorite park and the kids—and Johnny—climbed the rocks. Hudson and Elle love to climb and jump off these manmade rocks. Although, Hudson is a little braver then Elle. He has no problem climbing clear to the top and enjoying the view. Elle, however, usually quits half-way—due to her fear of heights—and jumps to the ground. But either way, they have fun.

Hudson had his half-birthday. We, of course, celebrated with half of a cake. Hudson loved this, and enjoyed every bite. Hudson is such a sweet half-birthday boy, and we love him so much. He loves to joke, laugh, and have a good time. He is sweet, cuddly, kind and all boy. He loves trucks, motorcycles and anything that is loud and has a motor. He also loves to be outside, and could run, jump and ride bikes all day. He has no fear, he thinks anything gross is hilarious, and nothing is too hard or too old for him. I love his personality, and cannot imagine my life without this funny, sweet and caring little boy.

Johnny’s mom came for a visit, and Elle and Hudson were ecstatic. I don’t think she had a quiet moment the entire time she was here. But we were all glad she was able to come and play with us.

Since it was Spring Break, we signed Elle up for swimming lessons, and let her swim—one of her favorite things to do—for the entire week. She absolutely loved it, and is starting to become an excellent swimmer (just in time for Hawaii). Hudson was lucky enough to tag along and get to swim in the kiddie pool each day. Every morning, when he woke up, the first thing out of his mouth was, “Do (go) swimming!” So cute. We all had a great time.

Hudson got his own big-boy bike, and is overjoyed. He could ride this bike for hours and never tire of it. He absolutely loves it.

We went and visited my parents for the weekend of Spring Break, and we had a lot of fun. One of the highlights for Hudson was meeting Mater from the Cars Movie. He was completely mesmerized. He could have stared at Mater all day. It was so cute seeing his face and hearing him talk about it. The Cars Movie is Hudson’s absolute favorite thing to watch, and seeing Mater in person was amazing experience for him. They even had a tipped over tractor, which Elle and Hudson thought was hilarious. So fun.

We also had the chance to see my dad help his friends brand their cows. Elle and Hudson were not sure what to think, but in the end they both got into it. They both got to help tag a cow’s ear (or put an earring in it, according to Elle). It ended up being a fun experience for both of them.

It has been a fun, exhausting two weeks.
