I had a wonderful birthday this year. I was very spoiled by my husband and children; and even though I already had my birthday gift—which I picked out of course—Johnny managed to surprise me with lots of little things that I did not expect nor anticipate. He even got me a white chocolate mousse ice cream birthday cake—which is the very best birthday cake to receive (in my opinion at least). I have been eating it for a week straight, and I am still not tired of it (like that could ever happen).
The night of my birthday Bridget, Jae Cee and I attended the Broadway production of Fiddler on the Roof; and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. And since Johnny had a night-class that night, my brother was kind enough to come and babysit my children (thankfully, for his sake, Hudson slept the entire time I was gone).
My birthday was a lot of fun, and I am thankful for all the people who helped me celebrate—even if I am one year older. But at least I am still younger than Johnny. That always cheers me immensely (and it always aggravates him when I rub it in).
