The Land of Oz

Yesterday, Elle and I donned costumes (me included); we entered the land of Oz; we met Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, the Lion, the wicked witch of the west, Glinda the good witch, and a flying monkey (something Elle was completely terrified of, until it let her play a game and then gave her a prize); we followed the yellow brick road; we played games; we earned prizes; we made a craft; and we had cookies and juice.

If you have not figured it out yet—which I’m sure you all have—yesterday Elle and I attended the Wizard of Oz party hosted by our local Barnes and Noble bookstore. It was a very fun and exciting gathering in which both Elle and I were glad that we could participate. Elle loved meeting all of the characters and having the opportunity to dress up—always a hit with her. We also attended with our neighbors—her best friends—and that made all the festivities even better. It was a well-hosted, well-planned party, and we were so glad to have the opportunity to attend.
