Emerson had her first visit to Hayden’s grave. It was a special moment for me. I loved having all three of my kids together visiting their brother. Hayden is such a special part of our family; and I want my kids to always remember him.

Wicked
I got to take Elle to see Wicked with me. She has been wanting to go for a while, and I am so glad that they came back to Boise so I could take her. I wasn’t sure how Emerson would do since she will not take a bottle, but there was no way I was going to miss a chance to see Wicked. Thankfully Johnny is patient, and was willing to walk her most of the time I was gone. And I am so glad he did, because Elle and I had so much fun. We had to run to our seats because we were almost late—but not quite—and then we sat back and enjoyed all of the Broadway goodness. Elle sat on my lap the entire show, and I couldn’t have been happier. We ate Brookies at intermission, and laughed as we waited in the forever-long bathroom line. The show was amazing, and Elle and I loved every minute of it. I’m so glad Elle and I had the chance to experience Broadway together.

Easter
We had a wonderful Easter remembering our Savior and all he has done for us. And of course we also enjoyed some yummy Easter candy.

Elle is Eight
Elle’s birthday this year was a lot of fun. She wanted a Frozen-themed birthday—no shocker there—and Frozen-themed gifts. I really enjoyed finding her gifts, preparing her cake—even if I had to make two, because the first was not quite what she was imagining—and decorating. She also requested a friend party, where we built snowman, pinned the carrot on the snowman, played hot potato with a snowball, had a freeze dance, and ate cake and opened presents. She loved every minute of her birthday. She got lots of presents, and ate lots of cake (since there were two). I am glad that she had such a good birthday, and I cannot believe that she is eight. I love my girl.
Happy birthday to my sweet, spunky, silly, crazy, creative, caring, energetic, happy, sensitive, kind little girl. She is such a joy to have in our family, and we all love her dearly.
