My Horses?
Yesterday, when Elle and I were going for a walk, she wasn’t being very patient. I was getting a little exasperated, and so I exclaimed, “Elle, hold your horses.” She looked at me with a very confused expression on her face, and said, “I don’t have any horses; I have Minnie Mouse.”

Dizzy Dancer
Ever since we took Elle to Disney on Ice, she has become quite enraptured with ice-skating. A day does not go by that she does not ask me to play music, so that she can dance around the house pretending to be Ariel—or any number of Disney characters—from Disney on Ice. Tonight, before bed, she did her same routine; but her numerous spins made her a little…dizzy.

Oh What Do You Play on a Rainy Day?
Seeing as how it was a rainy day on Saturday, Johnny, Elle, and I decided to visit the Lindsey Wildlife Museum. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves; and we each felt it was fun, dry way to spend the day.
Elle Loved the Eagle's nest. We could hardly get her away from it.
For the petting circle, they had a bunny. Elle was quite enamored with it.
Elle was very excited to find what she deemed, Bambi.
Elle talks nonstop about how big this bear is; and to my dismay, she also talks about how big his bum is.
Look at these wingspans.

Little Cook
Lately, Elle has shown a huge interest in cooking. Anytime I do anything in the kitchen—even buttering toast—she wants to help. This newfound interest has been a little fun, a little crazy, and a little frustrating. Sometimes she does an excellent job, and follows my instructions precisely. However, more often than not, it seems that she forgets and simply ignores my well-meaning instructions. Today, happened to be one of the days where she forgot—or possibly ignored—my instructions. After we had made her “runny eggs” this morning, I told her to be careful of the griddle because it was still hot. I was not at all too concerned over her touching it, because she had just finished flipping her eggs on it, and had not touched it at all. But, to my dismay, when I turned around to grab something, she must have decided to test my “hot theory.” As I was turning around with the item I had turned to get, I watched in horror as she daintily touched the griddle with her three fingers. She immediately pulled her hand back, but alas, the damage was done; she had burned her three little fingers. Luckily, if you can call anything lucky in this situation, she had barely touched the griddle. Her fingers hurt a little, but there was no real damage done. She shed a lot of tears over this tragic cooking experience, but my hope is that we have learned a valuable lesson: Mommy knows best.

I Love You
Tonight, after Elle had gone to sleep, she called me into her room to tell me what she had just learned to accomplish: the I love you sign. Lately, she has been trying desperately hard to do this sign; however, it is hard for her to get all of her fingers in the right place, and to keep them there. One finger always seems to be in the wrong place, or just won’t stay up properly. But, tonight, she was able to accomplish this feat. I love you Elle.

Let's Jump
Today Bridget, Elle, and I all went over to our cousin Dallas’ house to jump on their indoor trampoline—it is not a real indoor trampoline, but since her house is big enough, they set up their outdoor trampoline inside their living room. It was very fun, and not something one gets to do everyday. Elle really enjoyed jumping, and Bridget and I found amusement in it as well.
Elle and Livvy played very well together.
Elle did not want to leave at the end of our time at their house. But who would want to leave this trampoline?
