3D

Elle and I went to our first 3D movie, Despicable Me, and it was a lot of fun—once that is I got over the lightheaded dizzy feeling the 3D effect gave me. Elle loved it, and kept her glasses on the entire time (something I was not sure she would do). We really had so much fun.

And I just love how cool we look in the 3D glasses. Very fashionable.

Elf Yourself

These are for Elle.

Funny Faces

Elle loves to make funny/silly/crazy/goofy/bizarre faces. She thinks she is hilarious. And I must admit that her funny faces never cease to make me laugh.

Whiskers

Yesterday, Johnny had been kissing and tickling Elle—so much so, that she got red rashes on her cheeks from his whiskers. When I first saw her cheeks, I asked her what happened. She, of course, had no idea what I was talking about. It then dawned on me that it was from Johnny, and so I said, “Oh, it was Daddy’s whiskers.” Elle then looked at me—with a worried and somewhat terrified expression—and said, “Am I growing whiskers?”

Christmas Sunday

We had a wonderful Christmas Sunday. Elle and Hudson got all dressed up, posed for some pictures (well Elle posed, Hudson tried desperately to flee from the camera), went to church (where Elle sang a song with the rest of the Primary), had dinner with family and even had a little snow. It was a great day.

A Christmas Party

We attended our ward Christmas party, and both kids had a lot of fun. Elle loved spending time with her church friends—as did I—coloring, listening to the choristers and visiting with Santa (someone she has seen a lot of this month). Hudson enjoyed feeding himself all of the yummy food (what a mess), making a lot of noise during the choristers, climbing tables and chairs, following the older kids around and avoiding Santa like the plague (someone he has detested seeing a lot of this month). It was a fun party.

A Big Mess

Hudson HATES to be fed by someone else, but he LOVES to be fed by himself. Unfortunately, what he LOVES is a BIG mess.

This is Hudson’s first and somewhat successful attempt at feeding himself.
