Daddy's Little Helper

Hudson loves to help his daddy do anything (mainly because his daddy uses tools). And when Johnny started rotating the tires on my car the other day, Hudson was beside himself (he didn’t know which greasy part of the tire he should hold first). It was so cute seeing him work and try to rotate the tires with Johnny—even though he was covered in grease by the end of the task. But it was worth every black-covered finger, because he had so much fun with his daddy.

Lopsided Smile

Elle had to go to the dentist to get another cavity filled, and it produced the same results as the last time: a lopsided smile. I just love seeing her lopsided grin. It makes me smile—although not in a lopsided way.

Smile

I love my two kids and how they make me smile. No matter how the day is going, or what stresses are pushed my way, my children know just what to do to put a genuine smile upon my face.

Irish Dance Anyone?

Elle loves to dance. She especially loves to use her newly acquired Irish dance steps. They are her go to moves. And I love to watch her dance. Her serious dance face always makes me laugh.

Family Home Evening—Butterflies

Our theme for family home evening this week was butterflies. Johnny gave a lesson on the creation (butterflies were included); we made paper butterflies for our craft (Elle loved this); and for our more-elaborate-than-water snack, we made butterfly cupcakes (very yummy). All in all, our themed family home evening was a success—even though I had to do a lot more than turn the faucet on.

Strawberries

Elle and I planted strawberries in our garden yesterday. It was a lot of fun. Elle loves to pick everything—grass, our neighbor’s flowers, dandelions, our neighbor’s flowers, blossoms, our neighbors flowers—so I thought it would be fun to plant something she could pick that didn’t involve our neighbor’s flowers. When I proposed the idea to Elle, she was thrilled. She cannot believe that she will have her very own strawberry patch where she can care for and pick whatever she wants. I am also glad, because I am quite tired of her picking our neighbor’s flowers (not that there are any left). Basically, our strawberry patch is a good situation for Elle, our neighbor, me and the poor picked-over flowers.

Monkey Bizness

Elle did this…

So we did this…

Being good and earning popcorn seeds equals lots of fun.
