One day I noticed some marks on Hudson’s leg, and I asked him what happened. He looked at me and shrugged his shoulders. “A crocodile bit me.”
Another day Hudson kept putting his finger in his cup of water and saying, “Ahhh!” When I asked him what was wrong, he said, “There are sharks in my water!”
When Hudson and I were looking at pictures of our family, he looked at his father and said, “Daddy’s my boy.”

We love birthdays—even half birthdays. And with candles and cake, what’s not to love? That’s exactly what my kids would like to know. So we celebrate birthdays twice a year (but presents are only given on the actual birthdays). It is a fun family tradition that we thoroughly enjoy.
