Daddy's Little Helper

Obsessed

This boy is still obsessed with motorcycles. He watches the movie, All About Motorcycles, everyday. We read a motorcycle book every night. And he endlessly asks me if he can buy his very own motorcycle. “One day,” is always my answer. But I can’t help loving my motorcycle-obsessed boy. He is so sweet—obsession and all.

4th of July

Parade, candy, Popsicles, friends, family, Italian sodas, BBQ, swimming, fireworks, laughter, smiles, and fun, pretty much describes our 4th of July.

And I think Emerson quite enjoyed her very first 4th of July.

First Swim

Emerson had her first real swim this week—not just dipping her feet. She really liked the water (we could tell by her squeals), but she was not too keen on getting splashed (we found this out from Hudson). But I am glad that she liked it, because we will be swimming all summer.

Face Paint

This is what happens when Elle gets out the face paints. Hudson was so excited to be a skeleton.

Flag Football

Hudson finished out his spring season of flag football, and … loved it. This is fantastic, considering how much he disliked it after his first game. But as the season progressed, so did his attitude. And by the end of the season he loved football. (His new pair of Spiderman football gloves and an end of the year trophy did a lot towards this attitude change). Regardless, watching Hudson play football was a lot of fun, and I am so glad he played.
