Rolling

Emerson started rolling from her back to her tummy on April 20th, but she couldn’t quite do it at will. But by the beginning of May, this girl could roll like a champ. In fact, now, if she is put on her back, she instantly rolls to her tummy. She always rolls to her right—never to the left—and she is proud of her newfound skill. She is such a big girl. Love her.

4 Months

Why oh why did Elle think putting Goo in her hair was a good idea?

This took forever to get out. Yuck!

Why oh why must Hudson break so many things?

Mother's Day

I am so blessed to be their mother.

11th Anniversary

Johnny and I have been married 11 years. What? Hard to believe. But I am so happy to be married to such a wonderful person. He makes me laugh. He makes me smile. He makes me happy. He is my best friend, and I can always count on him. Thanks for everything Johnny.

Elle's Baptism

It is hard for me to believe that my little girl is now a baptized member of the church. How did she get to the age of eight so fast? I am so proud of her and the decision she has made. She could not wait to be baptized. It is something she has longed for, prepared for, and waited for. She knew exactly what she was doing, why she was doing it, and the importance of her decision. And the day could not have been more perfect.

Elle is such a sweet, caring, kind girl. She is such a help to me. She makes all of us laugh, and is so creative. Every nook and cranny in our house is filled with her art work and art projects. Not a day goes by without her “creating” something. I love it (although I do not love the mess). I love her thoughtfulness. I love her tenderness. And I love her craziness. She is an amazing girl, and I am so glad to be her mother. Congratulations Elle.

Well-Check

Elle had her yearly well-check a few weeks ago, and it was nice to find out how well she is doing. Elle was only concerned as to whether or not she was getting shots; and since she wasn’t, she was more than happy to go to the doctor (and miss school). I know Elle is small, but I am always surprised to see how low she ranks on the charts. And this year was no different. Elle usually sits somewhere around the 10 percentile, but this time she was much lower.

Elle’s growth percentiles for the age of eight are:

Height 3’ 10” (3%)
Weight 42 lb 8 oz (2%)

But she is healthy and happy, and that is all that matters. We love our little girl.
