Fall

Face Paint

Who bought this girl face paint? Oh wait, I did.

Sleepy Hudson

When Hudson gets sick, he can fall asleep anywhere. Too bad this is not the case when he is healthy. Naps would be a breeze if that were so.

Boise Idaho Temple Open House

Johnny and I had the wonderful privilege to take Elle and Hudson to the Boise Idaho Temple open house. It was a neat and wonderful experience that none of us will ever forget.

Elle has been asking to see the inside of the temple for quite sometime, and she never felt that it was fair when I told her it was a sacred place and she had to be of a certain age before she could attend. But when the temple underwent renovations, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to share with Elle all that she had been desiring to see. And she was not disappointed. She loved every minute of it, and thought it was the most beautiful place she had ever seen. In fact, Elle loved it so much, that her and I went on a special date—just the two of us—to view the temple one more time before it closed for the dedication. It was a neat experience, and one I was glad to share with her.

Halloween 2012

Halloween was a lot of fun this year. The kids both knew exactly what they wanted to be, and I tried hard to create costumes that fit what they envisioned in their minds. And thank goodness both were pleased with the results. Although, Johnny was quite the doubter on Hudson’s costume. He was sure it would look awful, and he even told me not to attempt it. But I was determined to prove him wrong. So I created two prototypes, and then I made the final result. I was quite happy with it, and I have to say that I was more than pleased to make Johnny eat his words. And Johnny even told me that he thought it was one of the coolest costumes he’d seen.

And as for the kids, they loved every minute of collecting free candy, and filling their tummies with sugar galore. They were all smiles as they ran and sprinted from house to house. It was a fun night, full of trick-or-treating, family and lots of candy. (But Johnny didn’t eat any; he was too full after eating all of his words.)
